Textode keyboard shortcuts for Windows

Keeping your hands on the keyboard is one of the easiest ways to stay focused. Below are shortcuts introduced in recent Textode alpha builds. Behavior may differ by version or keyboard layout, so the in-app Help → Keyboard Shortcuts list takes precedence.

About early releases

Textode is evolving through alpha builds. Check current compatibility and keep independent backups of important files.

SECTION 01

Search and navigation

Use Ctrl+F for in-file find, Ctrl+H for replace and Ctrl+K for quick file search. Ctrl+Shift+P is used for the command palette; Ctrl+P is also associated with fast file navigation in recent builds.

SECTION 02

Tabs, editing and workspace

Use Ctrl+S to save, Ctrl+Shift+T to reopen a closed tab and Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo. Ctrl+Y is also available for redo. Recent builds use Alt+Shift+2 for split editing and Alt+Shift+1 to close a split.

SECTION 03

View and focus

Ctrl++ and Ctrl+- adjust the editor text size, Ctrl+0 resets zoom and Esc dismisses an active popup or dialog. Some keyboard layouts require Ctrl+Shift+= for zooming in.

SECTION 04

Build reliable muscle memory

Learn just the shortcuts you use most often, then discover more through the command palette. For multi-cursor and selection commands, verify how your installed build handles repeated selections before making large edits.

Keep building.
